Ready-made sections and whole pages as patterns

KENJTEC One is KENJTEC’s theme, built from the blocks WordPress brings itself — no page builder plugin. In the block editor of WP-Admin you find its patterns in the inserter under “KENJTEC — Sections”: ready-made sections such as heroes, services, prices, team, gallery, testimonials, questions, opening hours, contact, location and calls to action.

“KENJTEC — Pages” holds whole pages: “About page”, “Contact page”, “Home page — services”, “Landing page” and “Pricing page”. When you create a new page in WP-Admin, WordPress offers them to you straight away. The sample texts are in German or English, depending on your installation’s language; you replace them with yours.

Everything appears in your colours — from your brand or from the Console; surfaces, lines and secondary tones are calculated from them. An inserted section is a building block at the same time: the “Building blocks” tab shows it with its fields. We place the newest version of KENJTEC One on your site when you apply or re-apply your brand.

The block editor in the Café Lumen WP-Admin: Ana opens the inserter, chooses “Hero — image right” under “KENJTEC — Sections”, types “Breakfast in Lisbon” as the heading and saves — the section appears in her brand colours.
  1. Open a page in the block editor in WP-Admin.
  2. Open the inserter and choose “KENJTEC — Sections” among the patterns.
  3. Click a pattern, for example “Hero — image right”, and replace the sample texts.
  4. Save the page.

Style variations and block styles

In the Site Editor of WP-Admin you find five style variations of KENJTEC One under “Styles”: Dark, Editorial, Contrast, Soft and Sharp. They change the base tone, corners and contrasts of the whole site and stay in your colours. For individual groups there are the section styles Surface, Band, Card and Outline.

In a block’s sidebar, “Styles” lists KENJTEC One’s block styles, for example Eyebrow for a small line above a heading, Quiet for a restrained button, Checklist for lists with ticks, Cards for cards side by side, Pill for a capsule-shaped menu and Reveal on scroll for sections that appear as you scroll. Anyone who has set reduced motion on their device sees them without animation.

Your social channels in the footer

If your WordPress site follows its brand and runs KENJTEC One, all three footers show the channels you keep in SocialStudio under “Your channels” — as the networks’ official icons, each a link to your profile, labelled with the network’s name for screen readers. If you have already placed your own social links in the footer, they stay and nothing is added.

Elsewhere you insert your channels with the “Social Icons” block from the “Theme” group. The channels are transferred with your brand; if a channel is missing on the site after a change in SocialStudio, fetch it in the Console with “Apply brand again”. How to enter channels is under Entering your channels.

Inserting a form: the “KENJTEC Form” block

With the “KENJTEC Form” block you insert a form from FormBuilder into a page or post. The block speaks the language of your WP-Admin; in a language KENJTEC does not offer, it speaks English. Under “Form” you choose one of your forms from the list — closed ones carry “(closed)” —, and its address appears below. Under “Appearance” you choose between “Same as the page” and “The form's own look”.

The list comes from your account. It is ready once you have opened WP-Admin through WordPressBuilder once; until then the block says so and offers an “Identifier” field. Questions and answers stay in FormBuilder: you change the form there, and the change also appears on your WordPress site (Form on a website and in WordPress).

The block editor in the Café Lumen WP-Admin: on the “Contact” page Ana inserts the “KENJTEC Form” block, chooses “Book a table” under “Form” and saves — the page shows the form in its colours.
  1. Open the “Contact” page in the block editor in WP-Admin.
  2. Insert the “KENJTEC Form” block.
  3. Under “Form”, choose the form “Book a table”.
  4. Save the page.

Showing products: the “KENJTEC Shop” block

The “KENJTEC Shop” block brings products from your ShopBuilder ai into a WordPress page; it, too, speaks the language of your WP-Admin. Under “Shop” you choose one of your shops, under “Show” “The whole catalogue”, “One category” or “Selected products”. For selected products you type a name under “Find product” and add the result with “Add product”.

You also set the “Order”, how many products to “Show at most” and whether “Search field in the frame” and “Categories in the frame” appear. Buying always happens in your shop: a click on a product leads there. If a chosen product disappears from the shop, the block calls it “no longer in the shop” and leaves it out on the page. This list, too, is ready once you have opened WP-Admin through WordPressBuilder once.

The block editor in the Café Lumen WP-Admin: Ana inserts the “KENJTEC Shop” block, chooses her shop, “One category” and “Coffee beans”, and saves — the page shows the tiles of the beans, among them “Lumen Blend”.
  1. Insert the “KENJTEC Shop” block in WP-Admin.
  2. Choose your shop under “Shop” and “One category” under “Show”.
  3. Choose “Coffee beans” under “Category”.
  4. Save the page.
