Opening the building blocks
The “Building blocks” tab opens the section editor large in the middle of the workbench. At the top, under “Which page are you editing?”, you choose a page or a post; next to it you see whether you are working on the “Live site” or the “Test copy”. On the left are the page’s sections in order, on the right the fields of the selected section.
The sections get their look from the KENJTEC base framework, the KENJTEC One theme. If another theme is running, “Switch on the base framework” appears at the top; after “Yes, switch it on — the look of the site changes” it applies to the whole site and every visitor. The sections are saved as ordinary WordPress blocks in the page: you can keep editing every page in WP-Admin and in any other WordPress.
- Open the “Building blocks” tab in the workbench.
- Under “Which page are you editing?”, choose the page, for example “About us”.
- Click a section on the left — its fields appear on the right.
Adding, arranging and filling sections
“Add section” — on an empty page “Add the first section” — shows the section types: hero, services, contact, questions and answers, prices, team, gallery, opening hours, testimonials, call to action, free text, location and form. Some have several layouts under “Version”. Sections with lists, such as prices or team, get more rows with “Add record”.
The arrows move a section up or down, “Duplicate” makes a copy, and “Delete” removes it after “Yes, delete section”. Your changes show as “Not saved yet” until you click “Save”; only then does the page change. If someone has saved the page differently in the meantime, in WP-Admin for instance, the editor tells you instead of overwriting it.
In the form section you enter the identifier of a form from FormBuilder — it is the part of the form’s address after /f/. A page takes a limited number of sections and a section a limited number of entries; when the limit is reached, it says so. The building blocks use no AI credit.
- Click “Add section” and choose the opening hours section.
- Enter the times; “Add record” adds another row.
- Move the section into place with the arrows.
- Click “Save”.
Your own sections stay untouched
If you built part of the page yourself in WP-Admin, the editor does not recognise it as one of its types. It then appears as “Your own section — edit it in WordPress”, marked “Movable only”: we do not touch it, it is saved unchanged, and here you can only move it to another place. You change it in WP-Admin.
Sections you insert in WP-Admin from the KENJTEC One patterns, on the other hand, are recognised as the editor’s own types, with their fields (Ready-made sections as patterns).
Let Kenji fill in a section
Below a section’s fields is “Let Kenji fill in this section”. You write what should go in it, for example “three questions about catering for companies”, and click “Fill section”. Kenji writes this section’s texts and uses your facts from the Console for them.
Kenji only writes text: images, button targets and identifiers stay as they are. The suggestion goes into the fields but is not saved — look it over, change what you like and then click “Save”. Kenji works with the saved version; if you have just typed something, save first. Filling uses AI credit.
- Choose the section on the left, for example questions and answers.
- Under “Let Kenji fill in this section”, write what should go in it.
- Click “Fill section” and wait until the suggestion is in the fields.
- Look it over and click “Save”.
