Opening PrintStudio
PrintStudio ai sets your business card, letterhead, flyer and folder from your brand and prints your forms as a menu or a paper form: logo, colours, heading and text font and company details come from BrandStudio. You open it from the tool menu, directly via Open PrintStudio, or in BrandStudio with “Open PrintStudio”.
Your brand is connected automatically. If you have several, you choose at the top under “Brand for this print piece” which one you’re designing for; “Edit brand” takes you to BrandStudio. Each brand has its own drafts.
Setting, preview and PDF use no AI credit. Only when Kenji drafts a flyer or folder from one sentence or fits a text that is too long does it count against your AI bar — see Drafting with Kenji.

The four formats
At the top you choose what you’re working on: “Business card” at 85 × 55 mm, front and, if you like, back; “Letterhead” as an A4 sheet at 210 × 297 mm; “Flyer” as portrait A5 at 148 × 210 mm; “Folder” in DL format — a landscape A4 sheet, 297 × 210 mm, folded into six panels. The fifth tile, “Forms”, prints your forms from FormBuilder — see Printing forms.
Each format has its own draft. If you switch from the business card to the flyer and back, everything is still there as you left it.

Choosing a template
The first time you open a format, PrintStudio shows the preselection: the three templates of the collection — “Signature”, “Atelier” and “Journal” — shown large, and below them, to expand, “More templates” with the others for that format. Every template is already set with your logo, colours and font, not with placeholders.
Clicking a template opens the editor. There you switch templates in the “Templates” tool; the “Templates” button at the very top left takes you back to the large selection, and “Back to draft” returns to the editor. When you switch templates, your texts and settings stay.
The templates are fixed layouts: you don’t move anything by hand, you decide what matters — template, colour scheme, texts, logo and back.
- Choose a format at the top, such as “Business card”.
- Click a template in the preselection.
- Carry on in the editor.
The colour scheme
In the “Colours” tool you choose how much colour goes on the paper. “Light” uses your background colour as the paper, writes in your text colour and sets shapes in the accent. “In your accent colour” fills the whole surface with the accent. “Dark” uses the darker of your base colours as the paper and the lighter one for text, and lets the accent glow on it.
You change the colours themselves in BrandStudio under “Design”; all print matter follows. The letterhead stays paper: there the scheme only colours bands, bars and lines.
- Choose the “Colours” tool.
- Click “Light”, “In your accent colour” or “Dark”.
If your brand has no colours yet, PrintStudio uses a default. Set your colours in BrandStudio and all print matter follows.
Saving happens on its own
There’s no save button. Every change is saved; the top right says “Saving …” and then “Saved”. What you type appears in the preview straight away; PrintStudio fetches the fully set version as soon as you pause for a moment.
If saving fails, it says “Not saved” with the reason and a “Try again” button. The PDF can only be downloaded once everything is saved — so you never get a file with an older state. Your draft is kept per brand and format; you can leave at any time and carry on later.
