Creating a board

The task board is called “Deck” in BusinessCloud. A board stands for a piece of work, for example the new seasonal menu. On it you create lists that show progress, such as “Ideas”, “In progress” and “Done”, and in the lists you create cards for the individual tasks.

All your boards are listed in the left-hand column; one click opens a board. That way you keep several pieces of work in view side by side without them getting mixed up.

In “Deck”, Ana creates the board “Autumn menu” with the lists “Ideas”, “In progress” and “Done”.
  1. Open “Deck” in BusinessCloud.
  2. Click “Add board” on the left, enter a name, for example “Autumn menu”, and confirm with Enter.
  3. Click “Add list” at the top and create the lists “Ideas”, “In progress” and “Done” one after another.

Creating and moving cards

A card is a task. “Add card” on a list creates one; you give it a short title. When its progress changes, drag it to the next list with the mouse.

Without a mouse, use “Move/copy card” in the card’s menu — there you can also move it to another board or make a copy.

On the board “Autumn menu”, Ana creates the card “Photos for the new menu” and drags it to the list “In progress”.
  1. On the “Ideas” list, click “Add card”.
  2. Enter a title, for example “Photos for the new menu”, and confirm with Enter.
  3. Drag the card to the “In progress” list as soon as you start on it.

Description, deadline and attachments

Clicking a card opens its details at the side. In the “Description” you write what exactly needs doing; “Add due date” sets the deadline. Under “Attachments” you add files, such as the photos for the new menu, and under “Comments” you note how things are going.

The due date then shows on the card itself — so you can see on the board what is pressing.

  1. Click the card.
  2. Write what needs doing under “Description” and use “Add due date” to set the deadline.

Keeping track of done and upcoming

When a task is finished, mark the card with “Mark as done” or clear it off the board with “Archive card”. Archived cards aren’t gone: “Show archived cards” brings them back into view.

“Upcoming cards” in the left-hand column gathers what is due soon across all your boards — the overview for the start of the week.

  1. Open the card’s menu with the three dots.
  2. Choose “Mark as done” or “Archive card”.
